Thanks for that response. My husband descends from Charlotte Hailstone who married John Perrett 30 October 1790 after her son was baptized Stephen Hailstone in September of that year. She and John had sons, William, John, George and James, the first two baptized in Patney, the last two in Beechingstoke (where Charlotte and Stephen were both baptized. I spoke without checking (always a bad mistake) when I said Pewsey. I have been searching for descendants from this line for a DNA test which my husband could do and see if this is really his line or not. So far according to the person I corresponded with in the Perrett society, they have none. so thanks to any and everyone for a response!
