Hello Everyone John Palmer, my G-G Grandfather is shown on the Tithe Map for Lacock in 1839 where he is noted as a yeoman. Is that necessarily proof that he was alive in 1839? Could he have died and his widow or other family member continued arm his plot under his name? I have searched for years for the death of this man, whom I believe may have died a few years later. He married in 1813 at Langley Burrell, and two children were born there in 1814 and 1816. A daughter, Harriett, was born in Lacock in 1821. Presumably John Palmer might have lived there from 1821 - 1839. Are there any local records of Lacock that I might be able to search? I would be very grateful for any information that might lead to my ending this 30-year search!
