Unfortunately did not get any replies last time I sent this on 17th Oct, so just thought I would have another try. John Herbert, christened in 1792/3 is my gggrandfather and I have managed to get marriage details for some of the family from Phillimore. It would appear as if baptisms are not on the IGI as all of the Castle Eaton entries appear to be Mormon submissions rather than transcripts of the actual records. His parents were Richard Herbert and Betty Cook. Is there some kind person with access to the original parish records who could possibly check for siblings of John please? If the submitted guesses are based on fact, it would appear as if there around a dozen children all together. My own John has been submitted by different guessers as being baptised in January 1792 and January 1793. Unless there was a death in between, I need help in sorting out his d.o.b. please.
