Hello Whilst researching the Noyes family in Burbage for a family member ,I came across a marriage between a John Noyes to a Rebbeca Cole . Rebecca was born in Bubage in 1705 to Francis Cole and Frances Ralleigh (nee Earnle) in 1699 in London . I have found quite a bit of info on the Raleighs and Ernles but the only information I have on Francis Cole is that in 1701 he was defeated as a parliamentary canditate for Downton Wilts . It appears that there was a William Coles in Downton in the early 1700 's and a Coles family living in the Moot house . I believe there's a will for a Francis Colesfrom Downton in 1730 but no idea if he is the one I'm researching . Before I decide whether to purchase a copy of this will ,I wonder if there's anyone subscribed to this list who might have some knowledge of Francis and of a possible link to the Coles of Downton . Francis and Frances had 3 chidren born in Burbage ,namely William, Rebecca and Frances. Many thanks Buddug Hollett
