Hello all On the birth of Johns daughters Margaret b 1618 Woodford and Mary b1623 Woodford he is referred to as Captain John Selfe. I do not somehow think he was a sea captain maybe he was in the local militia. I do not know much about this subject. Can any fellow researcher suggest what records if any are available for research to enable me to find out more about Captain John Selfe's rank of captain. Many thanks Richard Self
