Hello Eliz I thought that I ought to correct you publically!! <vbg> Just in case anyone gets fouled up!! Jabez Jerome GRAYELL was the son of William GRAYLE, the spelling didn't change, in that family, to GRAYELL, till the 1830s, and Mary LEVITT. The GREYELLs were a different "mob" altogether!! <ebg> Mike ________________________________ Well, I am one of the posters and I am sure Mike will wave <G> one of my Lewises married Jabez Jerome <G> the son of William and Mary Lavitt Greyell.
Hello jeannemgrey!! As Eliz said "I am waving". A little later I will transfer to my other computer and send you an email, especially if you send me some information. I presume you are in Australia and are a GREY that is actually descended from a GREYELL. I would be interested in seeing your ancestry so I know what I can help you with. I have lots on the GRAYELL//GRAYLE name which is the line I am descended from but I have also quite a bit on the GRAYELL name. Mike in Kawerau NZ. ________________________________ Hello Listers, I see there have been a few previous posts re the "GRAYEL'S OF MALMESBURY." So far, I have traced my ancestors back to 10th March 1791 when WILLIAM GRAYEL m FORTUNE MOSS. The parents of William are possibly James Grayle (b1771) and Mary (Unknown). However there is more than one William Grayle who is a possibility around the same date so I can't say for certain. Does anyone have any other information about the Grayle's? (also known as Grayel, Gray, Grey). My ancestors appear to have worked mainly as cattle dealers and lived in Horsefair Malmesbury. Ultimately I am trying to find out where the GRAYELL (and variations) came from originally. Information on the web links the name to McGrayle (Irish). Many thanks
<GRUMBLE> he was hard enough before all the spelling changes <VBG> Eliz On Thu, Feb 17, 2011 at 10:57 PM, Michael Wells <casofilia@xtra.co.nz>wrote: > Hello Eliz > > I thought that I ought to correct you publically!! <vbg> Just in case > anyone gets fouled up!! > > Jabez Jerome GRAYELL was the son of William GRAYLE, the spelling didn't > change, in that family, to GRAYELL, till the 1830s, and Mary LEVITT. > > The GREYELLs were a different "mob" altogether!! <ebg> > > Mike > > ------------------------------ > Well, I am one of the posters and I am sure Mike will wave <G> one of my > Lewises married Jabez Jerome <G> the son of William and *Mary Lavitt > Greyell*. > > > >

George, son of Edward TUGWELL, was born in Lea c 1807/08. I would very much appreciate any help in locating details of his baptism. I have located his marriage to Mary HARVEY or DRAPER in Hilmarton in 1831 as well as his marriage to Jemima BURCHELL also in Hilmarton in 1872 and his entries in the census returns from 1841 to 1881 inclusive. He died in 1890. Adrian Yorkshire
Hi.................i am trying to find a death or burial for Elizabeth Bull in Calne around 1740. I have access to find my past but it only says Elizabeth wife of John Bull was buried in Calne...no year or other details. I really need to find the year so I can sort this mess out. Hi Everyone, I have just started looking at the above couple and could do with some help. What I have is as shown below. Firstly, I wish to know whether they had any children? Catherine died 1961 and her death was registered April - June in the Swindon Registration District. I currently don't have a date/place of death for Philip. I would like to know if there was an obitary in a local newspaper for Catherine? If anyone is researching same please get back to me. Best wishes, Derek (Snodland, Kent) According to the Parish Register Catherine Rose Hurst was born on 11.9.1894 at Wantage and baptised there in the church of St.Peter & St.Paul on 23.10.1894 the daughter of Albert Edward Hurst. a groom, and Emily, of Partridge Row, Wantage. They married at Cricklade, Wilts. in Sept.Qtr. 1925 3a 125. The WAY/SUMMERTON family tree on Ancestry.co.uk has a record showing Philip born on 9.10.1888 at St.Brelades, son of Charlton Way and Harriet Ann. They have Catherine as "1895 - 1961". But FreeBMD has no record of either of them dying in England.
