Surnames: Hughes, Fishlock, Mortier, Dangerfield, Wyatt, Hiller Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EUC.2ACI/3085 Message Board Post: I am researching the Hughes family from Heddington, Wiltshire, England. Does anyone have any information on a Walter Francis Hughes born 1872 at Heddington, Calne, Wiltshire I believe he married a Eliza Robinson in 1892 at Paddington. His parents were Francis Hughes and Elizabeth Dangerfield. Other surnames that I have come across are Fishlock, Hood, Cooper and a christian name of Decima born 1813 in Marlborough Wilt. I believe Decima married twice, once to a Mortier and then to a Solomon Hughes.

    3. I may have found Harriet's burial in Hullavington. There is an entry in the Hullavington burials register for 4 April 1840 (entry no. 264). I made a note (in 2001) that the birth date was 1814 so the date at burial was probably given as aged about 26. As she wasn't one of my Fry clan, I didn't pursue this line of research any further. As Hullavington is so close to Sherston, this might be the one. 3. Hello folks The NWOCP has passed another millstone! Our first completed piece has been uploaded to Free Census (http://freecen.rootsweb.com/). 37 volunteers are working on the 1841, 61, 71 & 91 for North Wilts. Fifteen pieces have been transcribed and five checkers are at work. There should be a steady flow from now on. One of my Cornish volunteers said the other day that transcribing census returns beats watching TV. So, if you are sat there staring at the TV and wondering how much longer you can go on watching rubbish - why not go for a change - and do Wiltshire family historians - current and future - a favour? Send me your postal address and I will send you a disc full of images, a spreadsheet and full instructions. Do one piece and I will be very grateful - do two and I'll give you a kiss!
