I have extracted quite a bit of info from the IGI, back tracking from 1727 to 1539 but I haven't has a chance to prove it all yet. If the IGI is correct, there was an Agnes Jefferies, born in 1595, who married Thomas Sadler in 1618. She would have been the older sister of my great x 7 grandfather. Hi Robert, I found a Mary Giles age 55 born 1786 on Imber Road on the 1841 census HO107/1187/11 folio 15 page 22 and her occupation was milk seller. Hope this is the one for you, she was the only one from Warminster. G`day, first time on this list from Ruth in South Australia. On the 1891 Census for Great Ringstead in Norfolk is my widowed g-grandmother Mary Ann FRAMINGHAM (nee GREENGRASS) and some of her children including my grandfather Frederick who later gave the names Arthur Wellesley to his youngest son. Mary Ann is a live in domestic servant to the Rector Arthur Wellesley BATSON, clergyman, musician and painter. Although he was born in Devon the family seem to hail from Ramsbury in Wilshire and resided at a place called the Rookery. Most of the family appear to have been both or clergyman and artists. All of the directories at Historical Directories are after 1850 but I have the 1839 BUT it is very spotty. but you luck out and there is a section for Warminster Giles Edwd.
