I know the Wiltshire FHS don't have them (but have bought the Collingbourne Ducis ones), but was hoping that somebody had a full set to save me a long drive to the Record Centre in Wiltshire. I am specifically interested in the Fisher and Palmer families (and subsequent families who married into the line), and would like to go further back than I have at the moment. If anybody can help then I would be very grateful! Thank you!

My godmother Helen Smith (1909-2001), who was not related to me, was the daughter of Henry Smith and Vivienne Jeeves. By the 1881 census they had the following children: Charles, Edith, Vivian, and Hugh. Also Farmar Jeeves who married Sarah Pinniger in 1859 in Pewsey. They had the following children: Louisa, Ada, Albert, Ernest, Beatrice and Thomas before Farmar died in 1877.
I would very much appreciate assistance in obtaining details of the marriage of William and Betty DIX. I have very little to go on. Their daughter Elizabeth was baptised in Calne in 1808 although she was "supposedly" born in 1799/1800. William was a sand carrier. He was buried aged 82 in 1836 which indicates his birth to have been c 1754. His wife Betty was buried in 1830 aged 75 which indicates a birth in c 1755. Both were buried in Calne. Can anyone help me, please? Adrian Yorkshire

Hi Heather.. It looks like he is not on the census. There are only two George Youngs in Wilts that look anything like him. One is in Alvediston as Ag. Lab. with birth abt. 1807 also Alvediston. The other is in Upton Scudamore birth abt. 1802 down as owner of dwelling houses. I note there were several deaths of George Young in Wilts in the 1860's although none registered in Trowbridge.
