Hi Everyone, Would anyone be able to elaborate on a Henry Pankhurst, who was born abt 1842 in Newton Toney, and his brother, George Pankhurst, who was born abt 1839, also in Newton Toney. Particularly interested in any future wives and children of these two. Regards, Wayne
Hi Everyone, Would anyone have any information on an Elizabeth Strange, who was born abt 1776 in Wiltshire.(possibly Newton Toney) Elizabeth had at least 1 daughter, Ann, born abt 1806. Regards, Wayne
Hello, Listers, Does anyone have access to apprentice/journeyman/indenture records during 1855-1870? I'm seeking information on great grandfather Robert Greenway HANCOCK, Stone Mason, b. 1842 in Box, Wilts, son of Joseph HANCOCK, Flint Merchant,(d. 1853) and Ellen Eliza HARRIS. He married Anne Elizabeth SCUTTS of Sopworth at St Mary's Lambeth, London, 25 Nov 1867, and emigrated to Mansfield, Ohio, USA, in 1870. Any information or leads will be appreciated. Thank you. Anyone out there related to :- Anna Hillier born 1867 ish Hilmarton (New Zeland) in 1881 was living Lyneham with her large family , in 1889 she married George Perrett , George was previously married to my Kezia BURR who he married 1879 , she died in 1889 and I think George must have married very quickly because of the children , he had 5 childen with Kezia but it seems 3 died very young and it looks like Kezia died having the last one who was Christian . He had 4 known children with Anna . George Perrett was a butcher and had a shop in Hindon 1891 and it looks like Anna parents were also butcher and cattle dealers . I am not after any particular info but would love to know if there are any rellies on the list . Many thanks Valerie

Hi Listers, Thank you to everyone who replied. The news has made me very happy. The parents had 4 children but only one was born after registration, Emma Telling. I have never been able to find a marriage record for the parents and finding the birth record in the BDM indexes last night was my last hope of finding the mothers maiden name. I've been looking for over 5 years so you can imagine how excited I am. Four years ago a gentleman in England checked the indexes for me but couldn't find her so I assumed!!! that she had missed registration. It turns out the spelling on the indexes is different than the "normal" spelling for the family (Tilling) and using a "wildcard" search on the Free BDM index found her. I used E* & T* and there she was in the right area and in the right quarter (I had her baptism record). So once again thank you everyone for your replies. Happy hunting everyone. Hello, Tony Thank you for your reply, yes I did receive the information you listed below with a copy of the page of the census. People are always helpful on this list. But thanks for thinking of me. Are you able to find a census just by the name of the place, please? I am just wondering who is in charge in Coldharbour Hinton near Steeple Ashton as George does not appear to be living there now. The Tollgate and land was left to his first wife Esther formerly Phillips. Perhaps her uncle Peter Phillips is living there now?
