Nathaniel Haynes was named as an executor for William's will proved Dec 1824. I have a question mark over Nathaniel as possible nephew of William. The son Alexander was aged 30 when christened with his brother Robert, sister Sarah and son John at Rodden 22 Jan 1817. He was living at Westbury at this time. Sarah married Daniel SINGER. This Alexander married Ann WHEELER at Dilton Marsh 14 June 1813 and they had four children that I know of. I am still trying to find out more about Nathaniel and also William's youngest son Robert. regards -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. 3. Hello Everyone, This is the first time I have visited the Wiltshire site and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me sort out this part of my family tree. My great grandmother Mary Moody was born 29-9-1853 at Noman's land to Charles Moody and his wife Louisa Dibden. Charles father was Samuel and his grandparents were Samuel and Dinah Moody. I have been looking at parish registers for Bramshaw and Landford, I found lots of Moodys, a prolific mob but had trouble sorting which were mine. Can anyone please help? Of interest, in Landford was the entry "Baptised 1746 Flora daughter natural of Ann Palmer & the King" ?? So what became of Flora? Regards Barbara McDonald Maryborough, Victoria, Australia.

To keep all the originals tagged on at the end makes it awkward for those Listers who are on Digest mode, it clogs up the archives and for those who have to pay for the telephone call to log on it is also expensive. 3. Hi David. Ann and Alexander have been recorded as both HAINES, and HAYNES. HAINES on their wedding, and HAYNES in Ann's grandfather Joseph's will. The 1851 census tss on fiche also has them as "HAINE?" although there were many question marks on the page and it looks like it was hard to read. . Both were recorded as OTP when they married, but I've just checked on the 1851 census - which has Alexander's birthplace as Corsley, he was 63 at the time. We're looking at a HAINES/HAYNES family there in 1788, with at least Alexander moving from Corsley to Dilton by 1813. With Rodden and Westbury both being closer to Corsley than they are to each other - they could be from either one! (They're 2 and 3.5 miles respectively from Corsley, 4.7 miles from each other). I reckon it's very likely that they are the same family anyway a generation or so back, with only the local spelling in the PR making the difference at that time. Is it possible they ALL came from Corsley originally?
