Hi Dot .......... when you get to this page; http://www.parloc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/intro.html you should see in the 2nd line down from the very top a list starting 'Home' then 'Policy Statement' then 'PARISH LOCATOR' ......... just click on PARISH LOCATOR and you should be able to navigate from there. Ann Be careful about "Fyfield" as it once referred to a certain type of field, and there are at least three Fyfields near Marlborough. This initially caused me a lot of confusion. I think the biggest of these three Fyfields is the one on the A4 and its church is St Nicholas which dates back to 1324. Hi Adrian, I'm presuming that it is the Fyfield near Marlborough as the IGI lists various christenings for the GOODMAN family as Fyfield by Marlborough. Many thanks. Hi I'm looking for the marriage of Gabriel Morrell born Calne 1792 & unknown Theodosia born Derry Hill. Children born 1817-1831. 1841 census living Chippenham, Thereafter Langley Burrell. Would love to find Theodosia parents. Thanks for your help. Regards Heather
Thanks to Julia and Paul for their helpful information and advice. If anyone has a Richard WENTWORTH/WINCHWORTH/WINKWORTH born around 1615-1620 who married an Alice and lived in Chisbury, Wilts., where he died in the 1670s leaving a will saying he had 7 children under 21 years (and not naming them!!!!), I would be eternally grateful! His children included a Richard, a James and a Stephen, but as it was the Commonwealth Period from 1640-1660, there were no PRs kept and the Civil recordings arn't around. This family is supposed to be descended from the famous Yorkshire WENTWORTHs, but its hard to make the link. Stephen stayed in Little Bedwyn but Richard ended up in Buscot, BRK, and later the family were in Kingston Bagpuize, and then Oxford City. Regards, Jill in Sydney
