Hi Jo and Patsy, Thanks to Patsy's suggestion to check the Dorset OPC page, I have found confirmation of two brothers and a sister for my grandfather. Although I am not fully active in my search, it shows that to follow a suggestion sometimes brings in results. Hi Jo - have you looked at the OPC site for Bourton? http://www.dorset-opc.com/ for the Dorset OPC page which then lists the parishes. Apologies if you have already explored this. Derrick: I have an Ann CARTER married to (?) TOWNSEND. Ann would probably have been born in the late 1700's or early 1800's. Ann's father was James CARTER. I realize this is very vague information, but thought I would post anyway. - Joy >From: "DERRICK TOWNSEND" <derrick.townsend@tesco.net> >Reply-To: ENG-WILTSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com >To: ENG-WILTSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [ENG-WIL] Wiltshire names >Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2006 20:34:58 +0100 > >The following are the Wiltshire names I am researching. Good Morning, Is anyone researching the Napper family. I have Daniel NAPPER born in 1807 in Trowbridge and his wife Mary Ann born in 1810 in Road in Somerset. They had two children that I have found - James (b1833) and Thomas (b1841). Daniel was a Masons Labourer James eventually worked as an excavator Thomas I have found in later census returns was a French Polisher I have the family on the 1851 and 1861 James married Phebe White in Cardiff in 1857 Thomas married someone called Harriet but as yet I have been unable to find the wedding. How many churches would there have been in Trowbridge in the early 1800's? Corrall
