    3. Hi Rich My tree shows that Andrew AMOR married Lucy H EMBLETON in Sep 1867 Qr. and had the children mentioned by you. He later [Jan 1895] married Annie Mary YATES The Amor family is slightly off my tree and the information i have is therefore mainly imported. It is more the older stuff as opposed to those subject to this enquiry. I am more than happy to exchange details direct with those interested-so that i may double check what i have is correct. stanley.archer@googlemail.com On 25 Jul 2006 08:52:03 -0600, Fingertips62@aol.com <Fingertips62@aol.com> wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: AMOR, WADMAN, SHELL, YATES, TAYLOR > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EUC.2ACI/3152 > > Message Board Post: > > Have left off extensive research for some years .... however, renewed interest due to several contacts. > > Seeking information of several of the children of Andrew Amor & Lucy Yates of Church Hill, Bromham. > > Andrew (1845-1931) and Lucy (d 1887) > > If anyone has any information on the following offspring and their respective families, I would love to hear from you. > > Daughter Cecilia (b c1868 New Cross, Surrey) - believed to have married Jack Shell > > Albert Amor (bapt 29.09.1872) - no further information held > > Beatrice Amor (bapt 25.11.1883) - believed to have married Frederick Wadman and moved to London area .... spent some time back in Bromham during WWII living with sister Sarah (Sally) > > Arthur Amor (bapt 26.07.1885) - no further information held > > Samuel Amor (born 07.02.1887) - twin brother of my great-grandfather, William Amor - believed to have settled in the Southampton area. > > Any info would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks, Rich > > > ==== ENG-WILTSHIRE Mailing List ==== > Limit signature lines to four lines or less. 3. Hi I have the following Merrett's from Corsham in my tree. Alan Merrett 1925 Edmond Merrett 1900 James Merrett 1860 married Sarah Baggott (is my main connection). Joyce Merrett 1925 Winifred Lucy Merrett 1900 married Harold Beesley (is a secondary connection). Their son Tony (not yet on the internet) has a wonderfully documented Merrett family tree! Have you investigated the Baggott connection? The tree goes back to 770 and some say 170 ad. The current count is 450,000 in the tree. If I can help further then please let me know. 3. Hi Listers Is anyone researching the above person LKA (circa 1916) Snow Hill Bath? I seem to remember some time ago correspondence on this list regarding the SELF surname in Wiltshire, and wondered if there may be a connection, as Bath is not too far from Wiltshire If so, I have just come across some papers etc. relating to William that I would like to pass on to any interested descendant or researcher. William was in the Somerset Light infantry during WW 1 and sadly killed in action in 1916. Regards Chris Longdon

    3. Hello Jo - I notice that transcription is ongoing and there may be records available which are not yet online. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a contact for the Bourton OPC - it is sometimes worthwhile contacting them directly. Perhaps you could contact the co-ordinator to see if there is a contact address available. You will find the address at http://www.dorset-opc.com/ContactPage.htm But as you say, James and Fanny may have been married elsewhere and children baptised elsewhere as well, especially a first child who may have been born/baptised in the mother's home parish. Did you try a search of the whole Dorset OPC site - brings up lots of unconnected results but could be worth wading through.. Best wishes, Patsy > Hi Patricia > > Could they have been married at a different parish. I can't seem to find > my > STONE's in any of the Bourton parishes. They aren't in the marriage. I have searched for her birth in the PRs for the Collingbournes, Ludgershall, Burbage as well as Micheldever, Vernham Dean, Kimpton & Andover in Hants - all to no avail. If anyone has any information on this birth it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks......... 1. Re: [ENG-WIL] Birth MARY TAYLOR Collingbourne district
    2. Hello Graeme, I have searched through the original PR records for both CD & CK and as you stated there is no record of her baptism from 1782 through 1791. I have found her marriage in CK. Her burial record shows she was buried March 20, 1848, age 62, in CK. Looks like you have a dilemma - best of luck in your research. Peggy Dunn
