    1. [ENG-WILTSHIRE] Rowde PR Look Up
    2. family
    3. Hi Listers I have taken the following from Familysearch IGI, which is not always accurate. Children (all Rowde) of Thomas and Susannah Pope - they married 1710 Elizabeth Pope born 19 Jun 1711 bap 22 Jun 1711 Robert born 20 Jun 1714 bap 26 Jun 1714 Mary Pope born 23 Feb 1716 bap 25 Feb 1716 (parents Thomas and Mary?) Thomas born 10 Apr 1719 bap 18 Apr 1719 Susanna bap 4 Feb 1720 The children match the Will of Thomas Pope of 1725 except for Susanna - did she die in her infancy and before 1723 ? George Pope will of 1723 only mentions 4 children - but not by name (brother of Thomas) Please could anyone with Rowde PR's confirm the above birth/baptism dates are correct and also supply death dates for parents and children especially Susanna? Is there any marriage information on the children in Rowde ? 3. Hi Judy,   No at the moment I don't know of any confirmed siblings for James as I have only just started researching him, and am trying to ascertain his actual parents. Two kind members on the Glamorgan list have given me some info as to whom they could possibly be but as yet I have not verified them. However,  I am very interested to learn that there are many Pickets in Highway,  looks like the place I should be focusing on.   Rita ----- Original Message ---- From: Needavaca02 <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, 28 September, 2008 18:41:22 Subject: Re: [ENG-WILTSHIRE] Baptism look-up please Rita, Do you know of any siblings of James,  there are many for the family in Highway. 3. Good morning from the great State of Maine, USA, I've been watching this in query, back and forth. The name WILLIAM LONG is in my family tree so I perked right up. I do not believe they are one in the same for my WILLIAM LONG was from Hilperton, Wiltshire, born about 1782. (His wife Mary Long b. 1788) He did have a son William, b.abt 1825 but I do not see a son Henry! I first find mine on the 1841 census along with family. His son, James can be found with his new bride Mary Ann (Pike) Long, my g-g-grandparents. This is where I picked up the story, James and Mary Ann Long had a dau. Martha Long who married John Henry Vennell from Trowbridge. Vennell is my maiden name. I thought if in your travels, looking for your William Long you may have some info on mine. I couldn't let it rest without at least checking. I have found so much info from others on this list. You are all GREAT. Thank you and wishing you success in your search. I will have to consult the Wilts map and see if Highway is anywhere near Rowde as I don't know much about Wilts, but it is info I can pursue. My grateful thanks for your time. Best Regards Rita
