Hello List In 1841 census in Martin there is Elias Kerley and Urietta Kerley. From a fellow researcher I understand that Urietta (or something like!) was the daughter of William HORT and Mary FRY, baptised in 1770. I hope Urietta is a sister to my Alice HORT who was baptised in 1774. Would anyone have the marriage of Elias and Urietta, or children? I have found their deaths in FreeBMD, 1841 and 1853, Fordingbridge (Urietta was spelled Yourietta!!). Cannot find Urietta in 1851. Anyone want to have a go?! Thanks Bev

Hi there Judy, Thank you so very much, you have answered one of my roadblocks. YES!!! This is my Arthur, and I never thought of looking under a variant of the name. I have since found on the Family Search of LDS, that Arthur was the son of Richard WILLCOCKS and Elizabeth ELMES who married on 25 Dec 1768 at Kington St Michael. Richard I suspect was Bapt. 6 Apr 1746 at Calne. The ELMES family were mainly in Kington St Michael. Thanks again your a wonder..........StU: ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, December 15, 2008 8:43:11 AM Subject: Re: [ENG-WILTSHIRE] WILCOX and GAINEY Stu. Grace PHILPOT married John FELL in Heddington parish church on 16 April 1787. She was a sojourner. A Thomas PHILPOT was one of the witnesses. According to the 1841 census she was born in Wiltshire. She was aged 79 when she died in Compton Bassett on 30 March 1844. Based on that, she was born c 1764/65. As yet, I have been unable to locate any details of her parentage, baptism etc. Can anyone help me, please? Adrian Yorkshire

Hi Fred, I wonder if you could tell me your wife's GGrandfather Crocker's full name and where he lived in Newfoundland c. 1818. I am particularly interested in whether it was Trinity Bay and also how many years he was here. Interesting that there was a James Vallis bn. 1790, son of Richard Vallis and Mary Dorvil, also from Shepton Montague who came to Newfoundland, I believe, about the same time.
