    1. Re: [ENG-WILTSHIRE] 1871 CENSUS
    2. Hello Hazel Was John the son of John and Mary DRAPER and was Mary (Ann) the daughter of William COOK(E) and Harriet RUDMAN alias BROWN? If so, this is what I have for them in 1871: - Charles - 2 April 1871 - He was a labourer aged 40 living in Knowle, Pewsey, with his wife Mary A and their children Martha aged 4, Repana (Rosina ?) aged 2, and Charles H aged 3 months. Their son Thomas was staying next door with William and Harriet Cook, his Aunt and Uncle (see 1871 census). Mary - 2 April 1871 - Aged 33, she was living in Knowle, Pewsey, with her husband Charles and their children Martha, Repana, and Charles H (see 1871 census). Please let me know if I have identified the correct family since I have more information on them. Mary (Ann) belonged to my wife's RUDMAN and COOK families. I have Amor's in Milton Lilbourne, Mary Jarvis(b 1770) married Richard Amor (b 5/03/1760) they had a son Richard b 25-06-1809 who latter was accused of theft by his grandfather Maurice Jarvis!! Have not investigated them further as they are slightly sideways of the main Jarvis line I am following backwards. However got as far as discovering that Richard b 1760 was the son of Richard Amor & Elizabeth Bolwel married 15-02-1751. I suspect that there will have been a number in Milton Lilbourne. Hope this helps Marian
