At Calderbridge, on Saturday last, Mr. Henry MOSSOP, joiner, aged 44 years. At Egremont, on Tuesday week, after a very long illness, Mr. Thomas GATES, only son of Mr. Henry GATES, joiner and cartwright, aged 28 years. At Harrington, on Tuesday week, William the son of Mrs. Ann HILL, aged 12 months. At Whitehaven, on Monday morning, after a long and painful illness, Jane, the wife of Mr. John PENNINGTON, Plumbland's Lane, aged 61 years; In Duke Street, since our last, Mr. John WAITE, aged 59 years; in Church Street, Mr. Henry DAVISON, aged 62 years; and in Duke Street, Thomas, infant son of Mr. Thomas HUMPHREYS, painter. On the 4th instant, on board of the barque Adriana, whilst on her passage from Calcutta to Liverpool, Captain W. DODD, aged 30 years, only son of Mrs. DODD, of Hensingham, near this town. In the King's Arms Inn, Dumfries, on the 19th instant, Mr. John M'HARG, wholesale grocer, Whitehaven. At Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, on the 12th instant, Elizabeth WOOD, wife of William MILLIGAN, hosier. At Leamington, on the 16th current, Lady Isabella HOWARD, fifth daughter of the Earl of Wicklow, in her 18th year. Thomas O. DAVIS, Esq., editor of the Nation, and one of the leaders of the party known by the name of "young Ireland," died at Dublin on Tuesday week. He was under 30 years of age, and held a very respectable position at the bar. At Bath, on the 16th inst., William ROSS, Esq., formerly Attorney-General of Jamaica, aged 74. At Manchester, aged 88, John BRACEWELL. He was supposed to be the last man living who was in the action with RODNEY in the destruction of the French fleet under Count DE GRASSE, in the West Indies, April 12, 1782. At Elie, Fifeshire, on the 12th instant, Ann Dalrymple DICK, daughter of the first Sir Alexander DICK, of Prestonfield, Bart., and sister of the present baronet. At Sussex Square, London, on the 14th instant, Sir Francis FREELING, Bart, in the 29th year of his age. The Countess CADOGAN died at Wiesbaden, on Friday, the 12th instant. The Countess Paul DE SAUSIN [should be DE SNASIN] died a few days ago at the baths of Ems. At Lausanne, in Switzerland, Lady Lilias OSWALD, widow of Mr. Richard Alex. OSWALD. Her ladyship was youngest daughter of Hugh, twelfth Earl of Eglintoun, and aunt of the present earl. On the 10th of August, at his residence, Mount Olive, St. Ann's, Jamaica, aged 31, Frederick COORE, Esq., of Pembroke estate, in the same island, eldest son of the late Frederick Richd. COORE, Esq., of Devonshire-place, London, and grandson of the late John BLAGROVE, Esq., of Abshot House, Hants, and Cardiff Hall, St. Ann's, Jamaica. On Sunday, the 21st inst., at No. 8, Suffolk-place, Pall-mall east, Margaret, widow of Captain David RENNOLDSON, in her 41st year; and on the same day, at his sister's house, in Gracechurch-street, Mr. Cuthbert Heron RENNOLDSON, aged 31, son and daughter of Mr. Joseph RENNOLDSON, late of South Shields. DEATH OF THE BISHOP OF BATH AND WELLS.-This melancholy event, which has been for some time expected, took place on Monday morning, soon after nine o'clock, at his lordship's favourite residence, Bonwell, near Weston-super-Mare. His lordship had just completed his 85th year.-Times.
