    3. Lynne, the list Mum, has asked me to stop sending transcriptions to this list as she thinks that will encourage everybody to post their interests. I can't see the logic of it but who am I to disagree with the list Mum... As I have transcriptions ready for dispatch until Saturday, I shall post them until then. Rootsweb has in any case been extremely temperamental over the last couple of weeks with my transcriptions often not getting through, so I may as well stop early before the Rootsweb lists are shut down anyway at the beginning of March. After Saturday, if you would like to continue reading my transcriptions, please look at them either on the Cumbria FHS Forum: https://cumbriafhs.com/smfmsgbrd/index.php Scroll down to the Transcriptions section and choose the Carlisle Journal board. Alternatively, subscribe to the Cumbria FHS sponsored Cumbria mailing list, to which I am also posting and will continue to do so as long as I still have transcriptions to post. You will find the link to register here: https://cumbriafhs.com/cgi-bin/cumbria/cfhs_main.pl?action=cfhs_maillist This list has the advantage over the Rootsweb lists that I can post in HTML, which allows for more formatting. The other list (in HTML) I have always posted to and will continue to do so is the Genealogy-Cumberland Google list, recently renamed Genealogy-Cumbria, which you can find here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!aboutgroup/genealogy-cumberland If you want to join, contact George, the list Dad, via the link given on that page. So good-bye (after Saturday) and see you elsewhere! Petra

    3. Thank you so much for the pleasure you have given me. I hope to follow you but the new home doesn’t seem so welcoming and I am not sure how it will work out Best wishes Jane Jane Houghton > On 12 Feb 2020, at 03:04, Petra Mitchinson <petra.mitchinson@doctors.org.uk> wrote: > > Lynne, the list Mum, has asked me to stop sending transcriptions to this list as she thinks that will encourage everybody to post > their interests. > > I can't see the logic of it but who am I to disagree with the list Mum... > > As I have transcriptions ready for dispatch until Saturday, I shall post them until then. > > Rootsweb has in any case been extremely temperamental over the last couple of weeks with my transcriptions often not getting > through, so I may as well stop early before the Rootsweb lists are shut down anyway at the beginning of March. > > After Saturday, if you would like to continue reading my transcriptions, please look at them either on the Cumbria FHS Forum: > > https://cumbriafhs.com/smfmsgbrd/index.php > > Scroll down to the Transcriptions section and choose the Carlisle Journal board. > > Alternatively, subscribe to the Cumbria FHS sponsored Cumbria mailing list, to which I am also posting and will continue to do so as > long as I still have transcriptions to post.
