On Tuesday last, at Workington, Mr. Joseph PEET, aged 69, to Miss Mary FISHER, in her 66th year.-Though deprived of the "cheering light of day," for many a year, it yet appears that the hale bridegroom was by no means blind to the attractions of his lovely fair one. Same day and place, Captain Henry BELL, of the brig Hector, to Miss Mary SCOTT. Saturday last, at Whitehaven, Mr. Moses NEWBY, tanner, to Miss Betsey ROYLE. Same day and place, Mr. Joseph PHILLIPS, of Bingham, Nottinghamshire, to Mrs. VICKERS, of the Black Lion Inn. Same day and place, Mr. John TODD, of Hensingham, blacksmith, to Miss Sarah LANCASTER, of Buttermere. Saturday se'nnight, at Alston, Mr. Isaac HORNSBY, agent, to Miss Isabella CAIN, daughter of Mr. Emmerson CAIN, all of Nenthead. At Uldale, in this county, on Saturday last, Mr. John FELL, of Blennerhasset to Miss Ann FAWCETT, of Lowthwaite. At Ings, near Kendal, Mr. John CUMMING, to Miss Eleanor RICHARDSON, both of Hugil. DIED. Thursday morning last, in this city, much respected, Mr. John BLAMIRE, grocer, aged 54. At Workington, on the 17th inst. Mr. Joseph JACKSON, in the 29th year of his age, after a lingering illness which he bore for 7 years. Same place, on the 18th inst. Mr. John IRWIN, many years porter to J. C. CURWEN, Esq. in the 78th year of his age. Same place, on the 19th inst. Capt. Brhyne CROSBY. Same place, on the 20th inst. Mr. John BAXTER, surgeon, in the prime of life. Yesterday week, at Cockermouth, advanced in years, Mrs. MEALS, widow of the late Mr. Robert MEALS. Yesterday week, at St. Bees, Mrs. TODD, a maiden lady, aged 83. Sunday last, at Hensingham, Mrs. Dorothy SCOTT, wife of Mr. James SCOTT, in her 83d year. At Kendal, aged 70, much respected, Mr. John MITCHELL, formerly a cabinet-maker. [to be continued]
