Hi John I have Matthew James's descendents but I am unsure of who his parents or siblings were. It was a name that showed up in my family occasionaly so I was curious if there was a connection. Will The 1891 census has 8 Brunskill's in Westmorland under the age of 5, but none are James or Matthew. The same census has 6 Brunskill's in Cumberland under the age of 5, there is no Matthew but there is a James aged 1, son of Richard (Born Kirkby Stephen) and Isabella (Born Skirwith), he has siblings as follows all born in Skirwith: Hannah 11 John 9 Richard 7 Margaret 5 Thomas 3 In 1891 they are all living in Newtown Penrith. In fact there is no Matthew Brunskill at all in any county in the 1891 census. That's about all I can deduce from my information on the 1891 census.
