The judicial division, termed the Northern Circuit, embraces Cumberland, Westmorland, and Lancashire, and the assizes thereof are held at Carlisle, Appleby, Lancaster, Manchester, and Liverpool. ____________________ MR. R. PALMER, Town Clerk of Preston, died in December 1852. ____________________ A married woman who, with and in the presence of her husband, commits an ordinary felony, cannot be imprisoned.
