Hi there, New to this list. My DAWES family came from Eckington, Derbyshire, to Applethwaite, as in 1901 census. 14 and 16 Main Street. Haydn Bernard DAWES was listed as butcher and farmer. Had 2 daughters. Lilian Ruth and Ida Mary both born Sheffield/Eckington. I also believe he lived in early 1910's at Bridge House, Helsington. I would like to know . anything about this location and house . anything about the family from 1901. . any reasons why they should go there from Sheffield area between 1891 and 1901?
