Andrelee Just an update on the possible connections, Lancelot Steel married Margaret Bellas (not the same one as yours), St Michaels Appleby 1769 he was the son of William Steel, Crackenthorpe. This is information given to me by a distant relation Jenny Steel. Lancelot was the brother of George Steel and I descend from that line.
