    3. Hi Sarah, I have just resubscribed after a long absence and was delighted to see your photo albums. I especially love the photos of Crosby Ravensworth. I too am a big fan of CR. I fondly remember my summer hols spent there as a child with my grandparents Fred & May (Mary) Ellwood at Lyvennet. I know Ted too. He is a friend of my mum's and has helped me many times with my Ellwood research. 3. Hello Kate, We have a number of Blands & Ellwoods but none to match yours. There are: Ellwood - note double 'l'. Davidson Ormrod Bland, Alice of Melling Bland, Ann of Melling Bland, Jon, b. Wary, Lincs. Bur. Melling If these are of interest, we can cull them from our tree as a gedcom file. This is much easier than copying all the date, notes etc.. 3. Hi Kate, I had a look at Nancy's Kirkby Stephen site which has some Orton PRs. Sarah Elwood marr Thomas Bland in Orton not CR. She appears to be the dau of Thomas & Mary, bap 6/3/1764 Orton. The parents are Thomas Elwood and Mary Waller who married 25/10/1762 Orton, both of this parish by banns. Witnesses: William Otway & Thomas Robinson ( who has witnessed a lot of marriages so is probably not a relation). Other siblings of Sarah are: John bap 1/9/1765, James bap 19/7/1767 bur 7/11/1778 age 11, Thomas bap 9/10/1769 bur 6/7/1843 age 73 shoemaker, Elizabet bap 10/6/1772, Richard bap 28/10/1772 & Mary bap 11/51777. 3. Hi Anne, I have spent a bit of time researching the Ellwoods of Dufton and now have a large database!! In my Ellwood database I have a Jenetta Elwood bap 29/11/1696 Dufton dau of Thomas & Dorothy. Other siblings are: Ann bap 2/3/1698, Bridgitt bap 3/11/1703, Ann bap 17/10/1708, Dorothy bap 8/7/1711 & Henry bap 8/7/1711. Thomas was possibly bap 13/6/1667 Dufton, son of Christopher Elwood and Jane Gargatt. I'm not too sure if Christopher is Thomas' father as there are no sons of Thomas called Christopher. Does that help you at all? 3. Gillian, Thanks for your e-mail. I'm presuming you have Jenetta as marrying Josephus HANSON - is that right? And yes, I have her as being christened at Dufton 1696. I have two children for Josephus and Jenetta HANSON, they being Joseph bap. Dufton 11 Oct 1724 and Henry, Dufton 12 Feb. 1726. Do you know of any more? This sounds like 20 questions but also do you have a marriage date for Thomas & Dorothea ELLWOOD. Many thanks.
