The birth-day of the immortal BURNS was celebrated at Dumfries, on Monday, by a large party, who dined at the Globe Inn: John COMELIN, Esq. in the chair; Mr. William GRIERSON, vice-chairman. A fine child, the daughter of Mr. Thomas HOOD, gardener, Dumfries, was so dreadfully burnt in consequence of her clothes taking fire, on the 19th inst., that she died in a very short time.
