    3. BATHING FATALITIES. On Monday evening, MR. ROBERT DOBIE, aged 25, manager of the Kendal Co-operative Stores, was drowned whilst bathing in Windermere Lake. On the same day, two deaths by drowning occurred at Milnthorpe, eight miles from Kendal, in an inlet of Morecambe Bay. A nurse, with a little girl, daughter of the REV. G. H. WALLACE, of Kendal, were wading in the sand, when both got into a hole, and were unable to save themselves. At St. Helens, MR. C. E. DRIFFIELD held an inquest on the bodies of JOHN MORRIS and JOHN HOWARD, who were drowned on Monday last, under cirucmstances already reported. A verdict of "Accidental death" was returned in each case.
