Hello I am new to the list. I am researching my family name and some direct descendants are from JOHN ENGLISH HOWDEN SNAITH (1852-1940) and JOSEPH MAIN SNAITH (1823-1901) who moved to Kendal from Barnard Castle. In a recent visit to Carlisle Record office I found the will of LAZARUS(1870-1940) a Cycle Dealer in Bowness and the Admin for HARRY(1858-1938) a Carpet Weaver in Kendal. I know that both the above had families most probably still in the area. I would be grateful to hear from anyone interested in the SNAITH families in these areas.
