IT IS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED by the Admiralty that the inspection by HER MAJESTY of the seamen and Royal Marines who served in the recent campaign on the Gold Coast is delayed, as those who formed the Naval Brigade have not yet arrived in England. A MEETING OF THE CREDITORS of MESSRS. WATSON and CAMPBELL, iron merchants, Glasgow, has been held. The state of affairs submitted showed the liabilities to amount to £324,475, and the assets to £58,398, or about 3s. 6d. per pound. MR. KERR, of MESSRS KERR, ANDERSON and CO., accountants, was appointed trustee. IMPRISONMENT BY COUNTY COURTS . - The bill to amend the law of imprisonment for debt by County Court judges, brought into the House of Commons by MR. BASS, and founded on the report of the Select Committee, has been printed. It is proposed to amend the law as to the Debtors' Act, 1869, where the order or judgment exceeds £5, exclusive of costs. Where the debt or damage shall not exceed £5, the jurisdication to commit is not to be exercised.
