SIR J. HERON MAXWELL presided, and a committee of Scotsmen was appointed to obtain subscriptions in aid of LADY WOLSELEY's fund. A MISS TIDY has recovered a hundred guineas from a farm bailiff in Essex, named BUSH, for breaking his promise to marry her. The lady, be it observed, was a barmaid - a profession which has figured pretty much in breach of promise cases of late. The young lady wasted five years of her "marketable" life on her worthless young man. He was let off cheaply.
