MISCELLANEOUS. POTENT COFFEE SPIRIT. - The Coonoor and Wellington correspondent of the "Neilgherry Courier" says that a number of enterprising gentlemen, residents of Coonoor, headed by a well-known brewer, conceived the brilliant idea of distilling an ardent spirit from the coffee berry, which should surpass the strongest cognac in potency. They succeeded beyond their expectations, for on their each quaffing a single glassful of the newly-manufactured liquor, they all fell into a drowsy stupor, which lasted for hours, and which it required the adoption of the most stringent measures to arouse them from effectually quenching their laudable thirst for further knowledge and a new variety of liquor.
