Thanks for your reply. I have not been able to find the death for Charlotte Knight, but will now look at the dates you have sent. I believe that Roseanna was with her mother in 1861 possibly in the workhouse - cannot find them on the census. I have found a Henry Gough as a lodger on the 1861 census. (no real way of knowing if it is him- just going by date and area) Henry later went on to marry Mary Rowlands (nee adams) but again we cannot find the marriage, Mary may still of been married. I think that they might have been togeather by 1871 because they are all missing from the 1871 census. Joy
Hi Joy Check both the 1861 and 1871 censuses for INITIALS only. I found one of mine in 1871 in the B'ham Asylum and they used only initials at that time but the initials, age & former occupation were correct. Worth a try anyway!
