Hi Carol, FreeBMD has 17 Thomas Taylors born in Birmingham between 1862 and 1866. 4 of which are in 1864. There are two specifically Thomas E Taylors, both in the first quarter of 1866. Hope this might help a little, not very useful I'm afraid.
