    1. [B'ham] WORLEDGE (sic), Apprenticeships, 1760's

    3. I have just found out that an ancestor may have been apprenticed to a master in either the St Martin's or St Philip's parish in Birmingham around the late 1760's - 1770. His name was Samuel Worledge and he became a Staymaker, moving to London by 1770. There is a Samuel Worledge birth in Warwickshire on IGI but I find it hard to believe this is the one as neither of the parents names appear among his 5 children. Does anyone happen to have access to these Apprenticeship records or any knowledge of the Worledge, Worlidge or similar spelling families in the area? Thanks Di
