If you can get hold of it, there is an excellent book on the nailmaking industry in Bromsgrove by Bill Kings and Margaret Cooper, "Glory Gone: the story of nailing in Bromsgrove", Halfshire Books, 1989. This includes Catshill, but I see from the index of nailmakers that there is no specific reference to anyone named Parsonage. He was born in 1845-Worcestershire Catshill - and married in May, 1870 to Sarah Walker. His occupation on the marriage license was listed as a Nailer. What is a nailer?? And, by the census of 1900, he was blind. What would the resources be at that time for someone who looses his sight? I have a photo of him "reading a large book: - using his hands....someone must have taught him Braille. Thank you, Betty
