Hello Brian, Birmingham Archives were not at all sure that it was the Blue Coat School as they said they did not have any info apart from the fact that the Blue Coat School had moved to Harborne. Why I think it was fee paying as my Gt. Grandfather was in business and I somehow do not think he would have been able to get his son into a Charity School. Perhaps with all the discussions w may be able to get to the bottom of this Brick Wall. I never thought a school would cause so much discussion and having a quirky sense of humour I find it all rather funny. I hope I do not offend anyone by saying this as no offence was intended.
