    3. Hi Gina, When I was looking for my Great Grandfather's war record, I was pointed to the National Archives. I found his medal record online, but the actual records are on microfilm only, so you have to go to Kew to search them. If you know the regiment, the regimental museum will be able to tell you where he served but won't be able to give personal details. A lot of the WW1 records were destroyed by an incendiary bomb in WW2 so you may be unlucky. I Believe that they are digitising the records and putting them online but they are only up to 'C' at the moment. Good Luck Cheers, Pete Hulme -----Original Message----- Subject: [B'ham] WW1 records Hi As anyone had success in finding their ancestors WW1 army records If so I would be glad of any advice & tips Cheerio Gina _____________________________________________
