    3. I have to agree with Michelle, Tamworth may have been in Warwickshire then, but there is also a Tanworth (in Arden) which still is. "Appart from the obvious - is there another interpretation?" I think there is another explanation. In one of my families a widowed daughter in law is living with her in laws and both she and her children are listed as the children of the head of the household, even though they aren't. I'm not sure why the inumerator had described them that way, but it wasn't correct, maybe it was due to laziness, or maybe he/she just wasn't paying attention. If there genuinely was a case of incest involving the people you are researching, it doesn't seem very likely that the family would declare it on an official form. After all, incest was just as illegal then as it is now, and why would they wish to draw attention to themselves with all the possible repurcussions? Is it possible that Harriet married a cousin called William and lived for some time in Tanworth in Arden? Think Occum's Razor, the most likely explanation is usually the correct one.
