Hello, Does anyone have these names in their family tree research? William James SCRANNAGE and Nellie FOSTER. They were witnesses at the marriage of my Great Uncle, John ALLEN to Julia JONES on 6th June 1903 at The Register Office, Birmingham also Cyril Robert SHERVINGTON and Edith May NORRIS. They were witnesses at the marriage of my Great Aunt, Nellie ALLEN to Victor Herbert HAWKINS on 9th August 1941 at St Paul's Church, Bordesley Green. At the moment I can find no connection between any of the witnesses and the ALLEN family except that William SCRANNAGE had a similar occupation to Julia JONES' father, Charles. John and Nellie were two of nine children and I wonder why none of their siblings were witnesses. any help or suggestions most welcome.
