Kia Ora Joy I have only the 2nd marriage cert of Caroline Hodgkiss where she states she is a widow, lives in Saltley St and is aged 25. All of that info fits with the 1881 census perfectly. However she says her father is Edward and under occupation I can only interpret the writing as "deceased " I suspect Caroline was born in Birmingham and christened at St Judes along with 2 brothers Frederick & Thomas. Parents Edward and Sarah. (IGI) If that is the case Edward & Sarah nee Christopher married at St Martin B'ham in 1847. I cannot find a birth registration unless she was originally a Catharine or Charlotte!! I don't have Caroline Reeves on any census before 1881. So if there is a kind soul who could help by finding Caroline REEVES born <1857> B'ham on the 1871 or 1861 I'd be most grateful! If she is with parents Edward & Sarah that might help in finding their places of birth and might give us a clue as to whether there is any connection Joy! Regards Marlene.
