Jan, many records can be found for Australia from NSW records. We WERE all NSW at first. You can try the site called State Records, NSW This gives you a name search e.g. last name at first. You can also look for immigration, probate, insolvency, convicts etc. State Records also has immigration for other states. National Archives, Canberra is another place where records are also able to be called up. State Library, Qld is also a good site. Gives lots of info and you can do a name search there also. Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Canberra is another alternative. WW2 Nominal Roll is also good. Name search again,. last name is best and rat through them all. best wishes. robyndehood. qld. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neil Hearn" <neil.hearn3@bigpond.com> To: <eng-warks-birmingham@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 07, 2007 7:49 AM Subject: Re: [B'ham] Birmingham wills / William Hyatt Darke > Jane, > Where in Australia do you obtain access to the National Probate > Calendars, please?
