Hi everyone, I have been gone a long time and would like to throw in my surnames again. Also I would like to ask about businesses. I have many old photos but no name to go with them - some are the postcard type but others have the photograghers name on the back. Is there a sight to find these photograghers, would there be any records of them still? I know this is a long shot but I figure that's what we deal in all the time. Also I have an appprenticeship indenture paper of my grandfather (CHARLES M BOWEN) for 'VERITY'S LIMITED, of Plume Works - Electrical Manufacturers' in Aston, Warwickshire. I was wondering if I would be able to find a list of other workers from there. - hopefully a picture of the place. Surnames are BOWEN, HAINES, ROTHERO, MILTON, MILLWARD, Thanks Debbie

Debbie, I've not seen any responses to your question about the photos and their photographers. I think it's a great idea....people could upload the picture onto a website with the name possibilities, transcribing any of the details from the back which may aid in identification. People accessing the site could perhaps search by name and/or area and hopefully find some more relatives. Maybe photographers could market searchable cds of their archives and offer the photos for sale. Perhaps they already do this.
