Forgive the cross posting but I thought listers might be interested in a new set of maps available online. http://www.mapseeker.co.uk/shop/index.jsp Look on the right hand side under "Search for Streets" and you will find detailed maps of Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Darlaston, Bilston and Wednesbury. You don't need to feed a street name in of you don't want to. Once into the map you can keep clicking a particular area to bring up a lot of detail. Another useful source. I have no connection with the site. Regards Linda Staffs UK Researching: Cook(e) Plant Mason Keys Pearsall and variants Broster Rastall Turner Smith Miller Dunn Walton
Thanks Linda for a very useful website. It has solved a long standing mystery for me. I had one street in Birmingham with a confusing name change. I had always assumed it was one street and the 1839 map has verified it, cheers, Doug. -- Doug Hawkes e-mail: dhawkes@ee.ryerson.ca > Forgive the cross posting but I thought listers might be interested in a > new set of maps available online. > > http://www.mapseeker.co.uk/shop/index.jsp > > Look on the right hand side under "Search for Streets" and you will find > detailed maps of Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Darlaston, Bilston > and Wednesbury.
