Hello Listers: I wonder if someone who has access, would be so good as to look up some info from 1901 to clear up a little genealogical problem. I am researching a Messenger family. Both parents (John and Lucy Messenger) died relatively young before 1901 and two of their daughters married according to the Free BMD Index in 1898 and 1900. My problem is I don't definitely know the names of the spouses. What I do know is as follows: Elizabeth Jane Messenger, age abt. 24, married in the Dec. 1898 quarter to either Arthur Randle or James Frampton. Her sister Lilian Hannah Messenger, age abt. 20, married in the Sept. 1900 quarter to either Albert Stanley or George Harry Brudenell. Elizabeth Jane was an ammunition maker according to the 1891 census (at the tender age of 17). An interesting occupation. If someone could find their listings in 1901, I would appreciate it. Both marriages were in Birmingham. I realize I could order Marriage Certificates to obtain this information, but they are very expensive and I would like to avoid this if possible. Thank you for any help you can provide. Gerry Edwards Canada
