    3. Thank you all very much for your advice re Robert Macdonald born in Birmingham. After doing family history for over ten years now I have learned not to go wasting £7 of my valuable pension willy nilly, on various certificates, so I try and gain as much info as possible before splashing out. Thank you for your advice and concern Pauline, If you do manage to find a photo of St Judes church I would appriciate a copy very much (Was it RC or Cof E?) Thank you all again Peter

    3. Peter, you are lucky that it only costs you 7 pounds. Overseas people have to buy sterling cheques and stuff, and end up paying a lot more for the same thing. It is a worry when you have a common name and so each member of the family calls their kids the same names and so on. You never know whose kid is James or William, could be any of the brother's kids. My lot is SMALL, mostly William or John, aaagghh. robyn, qld. oz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "peter hanlon" <p.anluain2@ntlworld.com> To: <eng-warks-birmingham@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 6:37 AM Subject: [B'ham] MacDonald Thank you all very much for your advice re Robert Macdonald born in Birmingham. 3. St Judes was Church of England to the best of my knowledge. I will let you know when I get a photo, and post a message on list just in case others want to have a copy.
