    3. Hello list. I am keen to find out more about my ancestors (CURLEY, DRISCOLL, LINES/LOYNS, HENNIGAN/HANIGAN), in the Roman Catholic records 1840-1910. They seem to have worshipped at one time or another at most of the Birmingham RC churches, especially St.Peters and St.Chads. I do not have time to visit Birminham myself. Does anyone on the list know if the archivists at St.Chads for instance undertake research for a fee? Or, are there any other published or searchable sources of these registers? Many thanks for the help, James _____________________________________________ Dr James Curley www.eboracensis.blogspot.com ----- Original Message ---- From: Kenneth William Bibb <kbibb@bigpond.com> To: eng-warks-birmingham@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, 8 January, 2007 10:03:02 AM Subject: Re: [B'ham] Birmingham St. Philip and St. Martin Keith , You should be able to find family through the films you can hire from the LDS library, St George chr 1823-1875 mar 1830-1875 St Martin chr 1555-1875 mar 1554-1879 bts chr1718-1831 St Phillips chr1715-1863 mar 1715-1875 Ken B ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pauline Roberts" <secserve@wilnecote.fsbusiness.co.uk> To: <eng-warks-birmingham@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 08, 2007 5:56 PM Subject: Re: [B'ham] Birmingham St. Philip and St. Martin Hi Keith I do realise it's a bit of a long way, hence the comment at the bottom of my e-mail. BMSGH have a lot of resources and you might find they have what you want. I believe St Philips to be very short on the IGI, I have not been able to find many of my family at all, either on St Philips or St Georges IGI, and they lived in the vicinity for close on 60 years, I believe them to be clearly unfinished. I did find, however, that one of the films (circa 1812) was unavailable, so perhaps that is the reason. I can find very few on St Georges, too, but have insufficient time to check that for the time being due to family and other commitments. Yes, the weather was good last summer, and now although it is winter, it's not like it used to be, we never freeze these days, which is good news for those of us who don't like the cold. It's been around 10-12ยบ which is not too cold at all.
