    3. Hello Listers: I am trying to locate Thomas Messenger and his brother James. In the 1841 census they were in Birmingham along with their parents (Thomas and Ann). James was 3 and Thomas was 2. In the 1851 census they were at Derby End, Dudley which I believe is in Worcestershire. James was 13 and Thomas 11. Both were Carters Boys. Both James and Thomas were born in Birmingham. The family moved back to Birmingham in the Aston area for the 1861 census, but both boys were now missing. I haven't been able to locate any deaths on the BDM site. Can anyone locate them in 1861? Thank you for any help you can provide. Gerry Edwards Canada

    3. Gerry, hello On Ancestry.com there is a Thomas MESSINGER, aged 22, married, born Birmingham and in Gillingham, Kent; the page looks like it has names etc. to do with the Army. Thomas is on page 9 of 12; RG 9 480. Writing is difficult to read, I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to the 'correct' details. I am not completely computer literate but if you don't have access to Ancestry.com I could try sending off-list.
