Hi, Can any one tell me what Parish/District I would need to look at to find the convent which was on the cnr of King Edward St in New Oscott, Birmingham, in the 1871 census. I am trying to track down my G Grandmother Elizabeth O'Brien or Wallace who was an orphan and raised by the nuns in this Convent at this time. Thank you Chris

Hi Chris Not knowing the area well, I may well be wrong but could the Convent you seek be Maryvale? If so its found at RG10 2973 59 17 Alice J MEYNELL will find the location on Ancestry At that time it was in Handsworth Staffs No obvious sign of the names you seek but there is a possible misspelling If not that location, where and when was your Elizabeth born?
