All I know is that he served in WWI and during the 20's worked at Gabriels in Birmingham. During WWII whilst still working at Gabriels he was killed in a bombing raid when entering the building, I am led to believe he was also an air raid warden. I think his wife may have been called Emily?, he definatly had a son called Frederick, my grandfather and a daughter called Lilly, he had a grandaughter named Jean Simmonds.
