    3. Hi Douglas, I have always assumed that Mary died before 1861 as James is listed as a widower in the Census. Whilst checking through my research I found the search I did at St Philip's for my James and found this which was of no use to me at the time, baptism 11 FEb 1777 Ann daughter of Charles and Sarah BROOKES.
